Best Sleep Consultants in the US

All of the sleep consultants in our directory are members of one or more of the below organizations, in addition to other credentials they may have, such as Certified Lactation Counselor or Certified Gentle Sleep Coach. These accrediting organizations aim to protect consumers from unethical and unprofessional sleep consulting practices.

• The Association of Professional Sleep Consultants (APSC) members are non medical sleep consultants who specialize in one area, including maternity, pediatric, adult, and geriatric sleep issues. Members are screened by an executive board and are required to provide references before being accepted. Members must have worked for at least 3 years as a professional sleep consultant, and have a professional license or degree with sleep as a focus.
• The International Association of Child Sleep Consultants accepts members who are child sleep consultants, or have advanced specialized degrees focusing on children’s sleep such as pediatric pulmonologists. Individuals must have undergone 50+ hours in a training program taught by a CSC who has been practicing for 10 years or more.
• The Family Sleep Institute is another accrediting agency for child sleep consultants. In addition to their Child Sleep Consultant Certification Program, members must also complete a SIDS risk reduction course and a lactation course.
