Recommended for...
- Side and back sleepers weighing 230 pounds or less. The OkiSoft conforms rather closely to align the spine and alleviate pressure, making it best suited to side and back sleepers in the lightweight and average weight groups.

How Is the OkiSoft Mattress Constructed?
Cover
The OkiSoft’s cover is composed of Ice Yarn, a proprietary fabric blend with a sleek feel. The cover is also cool to the touch and regulates the surface temperature fairly well, so this mattress absorbs less body heat than many of its all-foam competitors.
Comfort Layers
The mattress contains a 3-inch comfort layer of 2.5 PCF memory foam with an indentation load deflection (ILD) of 11, indicating a soft feel and close body contour. Thanks to its lower density, the foam shouldn’t retain too much body heat or emit excessive off-gassing odor, but this also means the material may begin to deteriorate and lose shape more quickly than denser comfort foams used in other mattresses.
Support Layers
The OkiSoft is constructed with two support layers, both made from high-density polyfoam. The top layer acts as a transitional component that prevents sleepers from sinking too deeply into the mattress. This material has an ILD of 25, so it is supportive without feeling excessively firm. The base layer consists of polyfoam with an ILD of 36, indicating a very firm feel.
Mattress Height
The OkiSoft measures 10 inches thick, making it a medium-profile model. The mattress contains a 3-inch memory foam comfort layer, which is reasonably thick and largely responsible for the bed’s contouring medium feel. The design sacrifices some support due to its transitional layer, which does not provide the same level of reinforcement as the base polyfoam, but some sleepers will enjoy the OkiSoft’s balanced feel.

What Are the Firmness and Feel Like?
The OkiSoft offers a traditional memory foam feel characterized by close, even body-contouring. The comfort layer responds slowly to create a pressure-relieving cradle for the sleeper’s body. Due to its medium feel, some sleepers may sink excessively on the OkiSoft but most people weighing up 230 pounds should feel reasonably comfortable.
A notable feature of the mattress is its cover made from Ice Yarn fabric. The material feels cool to the touch, which may be beneficial for hot sleepers and those who reside in warm climates. The memory foam may still trap heat for some, but the cover allows the OkiSoft to sleep noticeably cooler than many competing all-foam mattresses.

Durability
The OkiSoft has not been available long enough for us to evaluate its longevity against the average mattress lifespan, which is about six to eight years. Our durability rating is based on other factors, such as quality of materials and design.
We expect the OkiSoft to perform for about six years. This estimated lifespan is on par with the average memory foam mattress. The OkiSoft is designed with a low-density comfort layer that may begin to deteriorate and develop body impressions within a few years. That said, the bed’s transitional and support layers are fairly dense and should hold up well over time.
To minimize deep impressions and preserve the OkiSoft’s surface as long as possible, we recommend rotating the mattress head to foot every three to six months.
Motion Isolation
To evaluate the OkiSoft for motion isolation, we asked two of our testers to lie down side by side on the mattress. One tester moved around on the bed while the other felt for motion transferring across the surface.
Like other memory foam beds, the OkiSoft performed very well in this category. Memory foam responds slowly to the body, so these models tend to be less bouncy than mattresses with other comfort layer materials. The OkiSoft absorbs most motion, and neither tester noticed much transfer. This makes the mattress a good option for people who awaken easily when their partner moves around or gets in and out of bed.
Off-Gassing
Our testers noticed some moderate off-gassing after unboxing the OkiSoft. “New mattress smells” are a common after-effect of the manufacturing process, especially for all-foam models that emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs). When our testers returned to re-evaluate the mattress a few days later, they found the odors had almost completely dissipated.
While off-gassing eventually fades, sleepers who are sensitive to smells may struggle to use the mattress at first. We recommend placing the OkiSoft in a well-ventilated room for a day or two before sleeping on it.
Pressure Relief
To evaluate the OkiSoft for pressure relief, our testers took turns lying on the mattress with a sensory pad that monitors areas of the body where pressure tends to build up, such as the shoulders, lower back, and hips. They also changed positions to see if pressure increased or decreased on their sides, backs, and stomachs.
Ratings for the OkiSoft in this category were mostly favorable, though each tester’s experience depended on their body weight and position. The mattress is constructed with a plush, low-density memory foam comfort layer that contours quite closely to the body. The material cushions the shoulders and hips, leading to even spinal alignment for side sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds, while the mattress maintains a fairly even surface for lighter back and stomach sleepers. Some testers – particularly those in the heavyweight group – sank too deeply and felt more pressure as a result.
Temperature Neutrality
Memory foam is notorious for its tendency to absorb and trap body heat, and many sleepers feel too warm on mattresses with memory foam comfort layers. The OkiSoft is a notable exception thanks in part to its Ice Yarn cover, which feels cool to the touch and draws heat away from the body. The comfort layer is another important factor. Due to its low density, the memory foam offers more breathability than denser foams used in other mattresses.
Some testers felt warmer than others. Our heavyweight testers sank more than the others, and this led to restricted surface airflow. However, we think the OkiSoft is suitable for most sleepers weighing less than 230 pounds who tend to feel excessively warm on all-foam mattresses.
Edge Support
To evaluate the OkiSoft for edge support, our testers sat along the perimeter as one might do when getting in and out of bed. They also took turns lying near the edges to check for feelings of “roll-off.”
Like other all-foam mattresses, the OkiSoft tends to sink a bit when people sit on or lie near the perimeter. The high-density polyfoam used in the base layers of these models is not as strong as support materials used in other mattress types, such as latex or coil systems, and this leads to more compression. The OkiSoft probably won’t sink too much for lightweight sleepers, but those who weigh at least 130 pounds may have a more difficult time getting on and off this mattress and probably won’t feel as secure sleeping near the edges.
Noise
The OkiSoft was virtually silent during all of our tests, including those that involved people moving around on the mattress. This is a common characteristic of all-foam mattresses because they lack the internal components associated with the loudest mattress noises, such as the coils in hybrids and innersprings or the motorized components of airbeds. Along with its above-average motion isolation, the OkiSoft’s low noise potential is another reason why we recommend it to couples.
Sex
While every couple has their own preferences for amorous activities, the OkiSoft will probably not be responsive or springy enough for most. The plush feel and memory foam comfort layer may lead to excessive sinking during sex, which can leave couples feeling trapped by their mattress. Edge support may be another concern. As the OkiSoft is prone to sinkage along the edges, couples may not be able to use the entire surface of the mattress, leaving them confined to the middle.
However, the OkiSoft delivers great traction. This can enhance sex for couples who maintain the same position for prolonged periods. The mattress is also completely silent, so noise won’t be an issue.
Sleeper Ratings
The ideal firmness and thickness for a mattress largely depend on a sleeper’s body weight, shape, and preferred sleep position. In order to better inform our readers and avoid subjectivity in our review, our team evaluated the bed with sleep testers of varying body types and position preferences.
Lightweight Sleepers – Less than 130 lbs.
Our lightweight sleep testers were somewhat divided about the OkiSoft, but all awarded favorable ratings to the mattress. Side sleepers weighing less than 130 pounds felt ample cushioning for their shoulders and hips, ensuring even spinal alignment and less pressure throughout the body. Back sleepers in this weight group also found the OkiSoft very comfortable. Although the mattress has a medium feel, none of these back sleepers sank too deeply.
Lightweight stomach sleepers gave the OkiSoft a good rating, but with a caveat: the mattress sank a bit too much. Stomach sleeping is associated with more aches and pains than other positions because most people carry a large amount of weight in their midsection, and sleeping face-down can cause them to dip into the mattress. None of the stomach sleepers in this group sank excessively, but they still noticed a lack of support.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130 to 230 lbs.
Side sleepers in the average weight group agreed with their lighter counterparts about the OkiSoft. The bed’s plush feel and soft cushioning promoted even alignment, and none of them felt added pressure while lying on the mattress despite a bit of sinkage for some. Back sleepers weighing 130 to 230 pounds also felt reasonably comfortable, though – like the side sleepers – they noticed more sinkage in some areas that made the surface feel uneven.
Most stomach sleepers in this weight group experienced significant sinkage and some noticed pressure building up around the neck, shoulders, and lower back. Average weight stomach sleepers may want to consider a firmer mattress that provides sturdier support.
Heavyweight Sleepers – More than 230 lbs.
Our testers in the heavyweight group all agreed the OkiSoft was a bit too plush for their liking. For side sleepers, the mattress promoted even alignment and alleviated pressure to a noticeable extent, but they sank a bit too much around the shoulders and hips. Sinkage was also an issue for our back sleepers weighing more than 230 pounds. These testers noticed less support around the midsection, causing this area of their body to dip lower than the head, neck, and legs.
Stomach sleepers in this group agreed with their average weight counterparts that the OkiSoft sank too much. Those who primarily sleep on their stomachs and weigh more than 230 pounds may benefit from a firmer mattress.

How Does the OkiSoft Mattress Compare to Other Mattresses?
When choosing a mattress, we recommend comparing different brands and models to get a better idea about construction, pricing, and other important factors. Below, we’ll compare the OkiSoft to the other OkiOki mattresses and a couple of comparable models from competing brands.
OkiSoft vs. OkiEasy
The OkiEasy is a hybrid model constructed with a memory foam comfort layer and pocketed coil support core. Unlike the all-foam OkiSoft, the OkiEasy offers more responsiveness for sleepers. The coils also promote steady airflow throughout the mattress core, resulting in better temperature regulation – though both mattresses sleep fairly cool thanks to their Ice Yarn covers.
The OkiEasy is considered medium firm (6), so its feel is similar to the OkiSoft’s. People will experience slightly less sinkage on the OkiEasy – back and stomach sleepers in particular – but both beds provide even body-conforming and good overall pressure relief. One area where they differ is edge support. Thanks to its coil system, the OkiEasy provides better reinforcement for owners when they sit on or sleep near the perimeter of their mattress.
Every OkiOki mattress shares the same price-point in all sizes, so cost won’t come into play for shoppers comparing the OkiSoft and OkiEasy. Instead, they should base their selection on desired feel. Those who prefer a springier surface and more support will likely choose the OkiEasy, while the OkiSoft is best suited to sleepers who want deeper contouring and better motion isolation.
OkiSoft vs. OkiFirm
The OkiFirm is OkiOki’s other all-foam model. As the name implies, this mattress feels firm (8). It contours less and provides more support than the OkiSoft. Those who sink too deeply into the OkiSoft, such as heavier people and stomach sleepers, will probably find the OkiFirm more comfortable. On the other hand, lighter side and back sleepers may find the OkiFirm a bit too stiff.
Apart from firmness differences, the OkiSoft and OkiFirm perform at the same level in most categories. Both mattresses isolate motion quite well and neither makes noise, making them each well-suited to couples. They also sleep cooler than many of their all-foam competitors thanks to the Ice Yarn cover and low-density comfort layers. Edge support is slightly better for the OkiFirm, but both models tend to sink a bit due to their foam support cores.
Choosing between these two identically priced models will come down to preferred firmness for most shoppers. The OkiSoft is ideal for sleepers who enjoy a close body contour and deep cradling, whereas the OkiFirm offers better support and won’t hug the body as much.
OkiSoft vs OkiFlex
While all OkiOki mattresses share a few similarities, the OkiFlex is the biggest departure from the OkiSoft. The OkiFlex, like the OkiEasy, is a hybrid model featuring a comfort layer of memory foam over pocketed coils. This mattress has a firm (7) feel, so sleepers should expect minimal contouring and exceptional support. This makes the OkiFirm best suited to heavier back and stomach sleepers.
Edge support is a key strength of the OkiFlex. The firm feel coupled with strong reinforcement from the coils results in very little sinkage for owners sitting on or sleeping near the perimeter. The OkiFlex also sleeps quite cool. Temperature neutrality is a strength of the OkiSoft, as well, but the OkiFlex sleeps cooler for heavyweight sleepers because they won’t sink as deeply beneath the surface.
Since pricing differences aren’t a concern, shoppers should decide which type of feel they want from their mattress. The plusher OkiSoft delivers closer contouring, while the OkiFlex conforms less and feels much bouncier on the surface.
OkiSoft vs. Casper Original
The Casper Original is one of the country’s most popular all-foam “bed-in-a-box” models. Constructed with layers of adaptive polyfoam and memory foam over a high-density foam base, the mattress offers a medium (5) feel and provides very close contouring. In these respects, the Casper Original and OkiSoft are quite comparable.
However, the Casper Original is slightly springier due to its top polyfoam layer, which responds faster to the body than the OkiSoft’s memory foam comfort layer. This creates a light yet noticeable bounce on the surface. Both mattresses sleep cooler than average due to their lower-density top layers, though the OkiSoft gets a slight edge from its Ice Yarn cover. The OkiSoft also provides slightly better edge support, though both models tend to sink a bit.
The OkiSoft is priced much lower than the Casper Original, so cost may come into play for some shoppers. If budget is not a major concern, buyers should decide whether they prefer the deep body hug of the OkiSoft or the slightly more responsive surface of the Casper Original.

OkiSoft vs. Nectar
Like the OkiSoft, the Nectar is a memory foam mattress with a budget-friendly price-point. The Nectar is constructed with two memory foam comfort layers, plus a memory foam transitional layer, so the mattress conforms very closely to the sleeper’s body. However, the Nectar is medium firm (6), so sleepers won’t sink as deeply compared to the OkiSoft.
The firmness is a minor difference, though, as both of these mattresses are quite similar. They each excel in certain areas, such as pressure relief, motion isolation, and noise. The Nectar and OkiSoft also struggle with edge support. One distinction is temperature neutrality. While both beds sleep a bit cooler than the average all-foam model, the OkiSoft has a slight edge due to its Ice Yarn cover.
While the Nectar has a very low sticker price, it is still more expensive than the OkiSoft. Due to the large number of similarities these mattresses share, shoppers are more likely to base their decision on price-point than other factors related to design or performance.

Full Delivery Policy
The delivery policy for OkiOki mattresses is as follows:
- Shipping is free for all orders within the contiguous U.S. Customers in Alaska, Hawaii, and Canadian provinces must pay additional delivery fees, which will be at least $400 for most locations.
- All standard deliveries are coordinated through FedEx. Most customers receive their mattress within one to five business days of placing their order.
- Mattresses are delivered curbside. Customers do not need to be at home or sign for the mattress when it arrives.

Trial Period and Warranty Details
OkiOki offers a 365-night sleep trial for the OkiSoft:
- This sleep trial does not require a break-in period of any kind. Customers may return their mattress at any point of the 365-night trial.
- This trial is available to Amazon.com customers, but those who shop from other retailers may receive a different trial period.
- A full refund is issued for all returns within the trial window. Each household is limited to one trial per year.
- OkiOki offers free mattress pickup for customers in the contiguous U.S. and provincial Canada who wish to return their mattress. This service is not available outside of these locations. Returned mattresses are either recycled or donated to charity.
OkiOki offers a 10-year warranty for the OkiSoft:
- This warranty is completely non-prorated. The company will, at their discretion, repair or replace any mattress that becomes defective while the warranty is valid.
- In the event of a replacement, the warranty will carry over from the original mattress and a new warranty will not be issued for the new model.
- Surface impressions measuring 1 inch or deeper are considered defects under this warranty. Other covered defects include physical flaws in the material construction that cause foams to deteriorate prematurely and manufacturing defects associated with the cover. Other issues, such as normal wear and tear or physical damage from misuse or improper support, are not covered.
- The warranty will be voided if the owner uses the mattress in a hotel or public lodging setting, including Airbnb and other rental properties.
- This warranty is non-transferrable and is only available to original owners who purchase their mattress from OkiOki, Noble House Home Furnings, or an authorized retailer. Those who buy or acquire the mattress from the original owner or a non-authorized retailer do not receive warranty coverage.
